Custo Barcelona
Spring 2010

Custo Barcelona Spring 2010 Collection, New York, NY ( Sept 13, 2009). Presented in High Definition.

Exoticism and eclecticism took center stage at Custo Barcelona in richly textured patterns and fabrics dripping in fringe and elaborate beading that included playful swimwear and crocheted cover-ups along with an abundance of flowy printed chiffon dresses. Custo Dalmau’s embellishment reached a whole new level, especially in his crocheted cover-ups with fringing, mini sexy frocks, and decorated silk menswear blazers.

The combination of gorgeous prints adorned with feathers, mesh, studs, embroidery, beading and everything else imaginable flowed beautifully into statement-making beachwear, separates and dresses.

In typical fashion, Custo gave his audience trend setting styles, playing heavily to this season’s lingerie as outerwear trend with sheer printed chiffon fabrics revealing sparkly bottoms underneath. A printed chiffon mini with a deep v-neck adorned with heavy beading floated past, trailing behind a train of pastel purple, sea-foam green and blue.

Maybe not as fitting for the urban New Yorker, this beachy collection will shine brightly in all the luxury vacation hot spots, from Ibiza, Miami to St. Tropez.
